For Professionals:
In addition to my clinical practice, I am also Executive Director, Enterprise Division of DocuTrac, Inc. (DTI), makers of QuicDoc® and QuicForms®. When I went solo in 1998, I realized that I had the
opportunity to improve my documentation and record-keeping procedures. I went in search of a software program that would not only provide outstanding, risk-managed documentation, but more importantly, would also
save me time and effort. I discovered QuicDoc® and QuicForms®, got to know the psychologist who developed the programs, and in the Fall of 2000, joined the DocuTrac, Inc. team. (Click here for the press release as an Acrobat file.)
To learn more about these excellent products which make my clinical life much easier, click on www.quicdoc.com
and please contact me for more information and for an evaluation copy of the latest release. I also wrote an article for the Division of
Independent Practice (Division 42) website, and this article is available by clicking here: QuickDoc Article
This article also describes Office Therapy, the billing software I use, also available from DTI. .
Documentation and record keeping is a critically important component of a mental health professional's practice. Documentation can be a clinician's best friend or worst enemy, so
I decided to write an article called "Risk Managed Documentation: What It Is and How to do It." The article also describes how QuicDoc can be a valuable tool in creating risk
managed records. This is a PDF file that requires Adobe Acrobat Reader, and a link for Acrobat Reader is available on the Handouts page of my website.
In the last few years, I have become increasingly interested in computers and practice development. I completed software and hardware training, passed two examinations, and
am now certified as a CompTia A+ Certified Service Professional. The marriage of those two interests has resulted in my consulting with individuals who have decided to move from
group to solo practice or are considering starting an independent practice.
